Maple Syrup Nails Are the Latest Mani Trend

Maple Syrup Nails Are the Latest Mani Trend, Montreal Manicure

November is a busy month and our nails may sometimes get neglected; but, adding elegance and style to your look with a manicure remains the ideal solution.

Try syrup nails for an elegant and sophisticated mani trend! This technique involves layering regular or gel polish with a transparent top coat to achieve the wet-look effect, best suited for soft milk tones but adaptable to any color you wish.

Maple syrup nails

Hailey Bieber’s signature doughnut chrome nail look and Tortoiseshell tips have long been our source of celebrity nail inspiration, but now there’s another star giving us fall nail trends: her maple syrup manicure by Zola Ganzorigt (responsible for Kylie Jenner’s glossy tips and Sabrina Carpenter’s soft cinnamon brown nails). We can’t get enough! This autumnal shade looks as sweet as its name!

“Syrup nails offer a fun way to experiment with color without fully committing to an opaque shade,” according to Jin Soon Choi, editorial manicurist and the founder of JINsoon Spas. To achieve the look at home, Choi recommends an easy ratio: one part color to two parts clear polish or base coat. Professional nail artist Priscilla Nguyen agrees with Choi that clear shades work best; she suggests also using shimmery topcoats for maximum shine!

Pistachio milk nails

Nude manicures with subtle yet expressive accents have long been one of the most favored forms of nail art. We’ve seen soap nails, glazed finishes and naked French tips but the latest variation – an “angel mani”–may just be heaven sent.

Zola Ganzorigt, Hailey Bieber’s go-to nail artist for Academy Museum Gala looks, created this beautiful pistachio milk-colored manicure to complete her clean girl beauty look at this year’s Academy Museum Gala. To achieve it, she began with OPI Brown to Earth and no wipe top coat before custom mixing her desired shade.

A pearl-like hue with just the right amount of chrome produces this beautiful effect on nails, adding subtle shimmer. When combined with metallic silver aura finishes, this manicure is sure to elevate any everyday look! This manicure makes an impressionful statement.

Sheer lilac nails

Lilac nails will always remain timeless classics; but this summer make room for something different! Lilac pastel polish offers a modern take on timeless yellows and icy pinks for an ultra chic and dreamy look.

Rihanna first showcased this trend when she arrived at the Smurfs movie premiere wearing an all-blue (to match its iconic theme!) Chanel two-piece that perfectly highlighted her baby bump. For added drama, celebrity manicurist Jenny Longworth created an exquisite sheer lilac manicure to complete her timeless ensemble.

Lilac is an extremely light color, nearly translucent in appearance, that blends effortlessly into the white of your nail bed for an unrefined finish. For an eye-catching yet straightforward manicure look, add glittered French tips in glittery lilac to add an eye-catching accent or try an ombre gradient featuring both colors as a base and center to achieve magical effects.

Ombre Frenchie nails

French manicures may be one of the oldest nail trends out there, yet they remain one of the most versatile. From its initial introduction in the ’70s as an inconspicuous nude-and-white combination to being seen on stylish icons like Paris Hilton’s hands today – French manicures remain one of the oldest yet most adaptable trends out there.

An angelic rose ombre decorates these short, round nails. An additional floral applique adds the perfect finishing touch. A dusty sherbet shade of pink fades into creamy cuticle line in this summery set of nails – perfect!

Chrome polish creates a luxurious finish on these square-shaped nails. For an added dose of sparkle, place one or more gems strategically along one digit for an unconventional take on this trend.
