Apparently the Pioneer Woman Is the Hair Tutorial Influencer I Didn’t Know I Needed — See Video

One usually turns on the Food Network to inspire that week’s recipes or on a lazy day at home to watch Ina Garten whip up enormous cocktails and perfect appetizers, not for hair tutorials. However, Ree Drummond, aka the Pioneer Woman, is about to change your mind entirely with a surprisingly detailed Velcro roller how-to video.
Drummond, who is known for her bright red hair, her giant ranch in Oklahoma, and hearty meals that could satisfy a whole fleet of cowboys, is pivoting from food influencer to beauty influencer with a new Instagram tutorial video for her loose waves. “I’m a Velcro roller influencer now. Wait till the end, it eventually works,” she wrote in her caption with a cry-laughing emoji.
The video, which is sped up to show the entire process, kicks off with Drummond’s hair wrapped around a handful of rollers. She says she dries her hair until it’s just damp, then rolls in a backward direction. After wearing the rollers around the house for a few hours, she removes them one by one and curls each section with a classic large barrel Hot Tools curling iron. “Clamp close to the head and roll from there, leaving an inch or two of hair at the bottom (don’t clamp it),” Drummond advises. Once the curls are cool, she runs her fingers through them so they’re not too perfect. “Spray with a texturizing spray and go live your life!” she writes.
